British Watch & Clock Makers' Guild Watch Parts Database

What is this about?

First and foremost, this is a free tool to manage your watch parts stock. On top of that, you can share your parts with others. If you are a watchmaker, a parts seller, or just someone who bought a lot of parts on eBay, it doesn't mattter.

Just register, and you are ready to go. This site is also a great management tool for watch parts, no matter if you want to sell parts or not. You can mark your stock as hidden, or set minimum stock levels for yourself. I am a watchmaker and I use this site for my own stock administration. With unlimited amounts of hierarchical stock locations, no part will ever get lost again in your workshop (unless you drop it somewhere and you can't find it ;-) ).

How much does it cost?

The British Watch & Clock Makers' watch parts database is free to use. There are no charges whatsoever.

Do I have to give out contact details?

Only to this site, and they will never be shared or given out. If someone wants to buy a part from you, the site sends you an email, and the rest is up to you. Your details won't be revealed.

Do I have to re-enter all my stock?

If you already have lists of your parts (Excel, text, csv...), you can just upload your stock to the site, and maintain it from there. The site keeps track of your stock locations, quantities, and prices if you want to, so you can use it to maintain and keep track of all your watchparts stock.

What happens to my data?

You can always download your complete parts data to a spreadsheet. This guarantees that there is no bind-in, and you can leave at any point in time without losing any of the hard work you put in to build up your parts database.

The Legal Stuff

As this service is free, the British Watch & Clock Makers' Guild takes no responsibility for the content listed, or for any offers to buy or sell parts that might result from the part listings. This site only provides the initial contact between buyer and seller, and the Guild will take no responsibility for any subsequent activity of the buyer or seller. Please be aware that is entirely up to you to make sure that you get paid for your parts, or that you get the parts for the money you might pay to a seller.
